Definitely some kind of money savings. Don’t put it off, because before you know it the kid will be 18 and have no money.

Is there anything you NEED for the baby that you can’t afford to get? Or something that you plan to get in the near future for her? If you are okay finacially, then open a savings account for her. Let them know that maybe an outfit and a small deposit into the savings account would be perfect.

i agree w/ the college fund ideas.
We bought our daughter a chair just for her for her first birthday last week. She just loves it! She is soo cute sitting in it like a big girl!!
