What would be a good gender neutral baby gift be?

Default asked:

Friends of my boyfriend are expecting their third child (They already have two boys), but I don’t know the gender. I want to get them a gender neutral baby gift for Christmas, but I’m uncertain what to get. I need ideas. And it has to be something that can fit in a suitcase and doesn’t break regulations, since I will be flying to Vancouver.
I have no idea what the gender is. I’ve never met either parent, so I don’t know anything more than their names, and the names and ages of their sons.

how about a really beautiful picture frame for a picture of their new family when the next member arrives.. they most likely have a lot of things and don’t need much other than girl clothing if they have a girl.

Diapers! (or gift certificates for diapers) - trust me, they will use them!

Get them one of those baby’s first year book. Its a book where the parents fill in memories of their babies first year. They are inexpensive, unisex, and one of those “I wish people would’ve gotten me that” kinda gift.

Diapers or maybe a gift card is the best present. Cash works too. Honestly I had a baby 9 weeks ago today and we have been threw so many diapers. We could have used some more gift cards.

id buy a cd for the baby to fall asleep to, or a blankie, or a soother, or mittens so he doesnt scratch his face, diapers, a teddy, a little outfit, with no baby colors, like red, or purple or something? or a bottle, or a hat, or a baby walkie talkie if ur being pricey
…:)
i bet u it will be a boy, cuz i said he, and wehn i say she or he, it usualy is what i said without thinking!:)
if the mothers hair is dry its a girl if shes growing all over its a boy if shes growing outward its a girl:)

If it is their third they will likely have all the essentials, so think about buying something that maybe they wouldn’t buy for themselves…like a onesie with a cute saying on it or really nice picture frame. Or as some suggested, books always make great books…even for babies.

Rattles and teethers from KidcoreToys.com are always a great gender-neutral option…plus they are practical, affordable, and will fit in your suitcase.

Hope this helps!
