I Never had ababy shower but the worst gift i got for my baby was a cheap *** dollar store piece of crap…and yes the people who gave it ha money.
Garret
not had one yet but probably really cheap stuff and ive seen people give used stuff!

someone used baby diapers to make a ‘cake’ and the diapers were not able to be used because they applied hot glue to fasten them all in the circle, so that was sort of a strange gift and a waste of baby diapers, too.

An ex friend gave me this baby chair thing. What it looks like is one of those back yard chairs the expands. It wouldn’t be so bad if a child who could SIT could use it. My daughter is 2 and 27 pds and shes to big for it. It is suppose to be like a portable bouncy chair but its ridiculous, we took the toys off and never used the thing. ( I think partly i **** it so much is because i **** the person that gave it to me.)
MY MIL also got my daughter a mobile but she must have never listened to the song because omg its the most annoying thing ever plus it cost her about 50 bucks. There is nothing soothing about the alphabet song in a very high pitch tone.
EDIT_ I made my sister a diaper cake and if its made properly you can still use the diapers and if they are new you can tell because there is kind of a seal on new diapers and once they are open they never close right again.

the swaddler blankets. i just used the receiving blanket instead, they wrapped much tighter!

I think most baby stuff is usable. The only “bad” gifts I got was cheap junk. No one wants a onesie and bottles from the dollar store, you know? Someone gave me a 3 section tupperware style dish for baby food. The lids didn’t snap on, they just sat on top of the container.

Honestly, nothing. I used everything that was given to me… clothes, bibs, diapers, wipes, baby soap, humidifier (which I haven’t used a whole lot though, I will admit), receiving cloths, etc. Every mom is different when it comes to using and not using baby items. I had a Boppy and hardly used it. It just fit awkward around me. Many other moms I know of praise and love the Boppy because it works very well for them. It just all depends.

When my step family asked me what I needed the most so that they could buy me what I did need and then bought me everything I told them I didn’t need. I already had clothes and shampoos, diaper cream, etc. I told them I would more than likely need diapers, wipes and blankets. All I got were the things I SAID I didn’t need. They never liked me and I think that’s why. They got me like 10 outfits and lots of undershirts and baby bath stuff, etc.
In the end I sold most of it and put the money away for my daughter’s school savings.

The worst give we recieved were bottles, we only use the BPA free Dr. Brown bottles, or the NUK bottles. Several people gave us parents choice bottles that contained BPA, so i ended up just throwing them away anyway. I felt bad about it, but didn’t want to give them to someone else if they could be dangerous!

Everything gets used, but it depends on if you get too much of one thing! So, stay away from blankets and oneies. Go for baby clothes that they will wear and remember the season they will be in at 2 months, 6 months, etc. Also stay away from the “baby” frames. Instead, get a photo album because they will take alot of pictures the first few years.
