Does the man go with you to register for baby gifts?

baby gifts
kbug asked:

I was wondering if the mother to be goes herself to register for baby gifts or does the man usually go with you to do that stuff?
I know there is no rule onthis i am trying to find out if the man typically goes for this stuff with you ?

If the man wants to go and you want the man to go then he gets to go…there is no rule on this.

Well I took my husband with me along with both are kids and im taking him this time too. I think it was a nice early way of him bonding with the babys because he wasd able to scan stuff that he wanted for his sons. And its a nice exp together too

my man went with me. i think its all just a personal preference. if he doesnt want to then whatever, but if he does, then even better. my man wanted to see how it worked. it was cute.

personal decision. my hubby went with me,,,and i know i had cousins that went with thier wives (some odd stuff on the registry) it is all up to you and your man how to do it. he might go for one and not another or he may not want to go at all. all a matter of choice

My husband went with me and did the “shooting” with the scanner. We both had a good time.

Your partner doesn’t HAVE to go with you but if he wants to then let him.

I say the mom and her best friend go….men aren’t usually into that as much. The best friend would be so much more help!!

Depends, if you want to do it together then by all means go together. If he’s not sure about baby stuff and would feel more comfortable not coming then don’t force him either. Talk about it and ask him if he want’s to come along…if not take a girl friend and squeal over all the little cute things!

it doesn’t matter, whatever. my husband went with me when i registered at target but not when i registered at wal*mart. if he wants to go then go together, if he doesn’t really get into that part of baby stuff don’t make him do it.

If he wants to pick out what he wants for the baby… otherwise you will have fun doing it yourself….

He doesn’t have to but if he wants to, sure why not.

If you want him to. My husband went with me and we had a blast! It was so fun to pick out things together and helped make him feel more a part of things I think.

In my situation, my friend who was in part helping plan the baby shower took me. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have had a shower in the first place, and she had been involved in them before (for other people) and I hadn’t, so she kinda knew all about what to register for and how everything works, etc. Trust me, the father would have been no help whatsoever, and I know I would have regretted it! lol

If he wants to go he can, Mine didnt go with me! I went with someone who already had a baby and knew what things were most important and useful
