You have to open the gifts. That is the most fun part of the baby shower. Everybody loves to look and pass around the cute outfits and talk about the baby. I don’t think that you can get around that.

open them. my husbands aunt did that. she had the person that threw the party set up little games for people to do to keep busy while she opened the gifts. like crosswords or word scramble. the normal baby shower games. the mommy to be would just announce really loud who she got what from as she opened it.

It’s something you have to do. Everyone wants to see the gifts you get. It goes by faster than you think. I remember for both my baby-showers there were lots of guests and I opened every single one, and it didn’t take as much time as I thought it would.

With big showers and lots of gifts we my husband came back and helped open them all because I was so tired.

you should open the gifts! it’s one of the best parts of a baby shower. you don’t have to worry about not opening other gifts if you’ve run out of time. it’s alright if you can’t open all the gifts.
