Baby gifts for the parents who have everything?

My friend just had a baby and she and her husband already have everything they need–and they are financially well-off, so they won’t need diapers or formula. I would like to give them a great and lasting gift, not just a jumper or a blanket. I was thinking of something more along the lines of a savings bond or something else kind of unrelated to newborn babies, but I think it may be too impersonal. Again, I would like a gift that would last a long time. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

get them a gift certificate toa baby store…im sure they’ll find something they can use that they dont have…
Start a college fund. EVERY parent can use that! Or find a park that they love to go to, most have some place you can put in honor of type things. Our childrens park has a brick wall with names put on them that you can sponser in anyones name you wish.
Hmmmm. Thats a tough one. What about one of those personalized story books? I know you said no to a blanket but what about getting someone to crochet or knit one that could become an heirloom?
well why not ask what they would like?…
I meen if you want to get the baby something in the lines of a savings bond then i think you need them to help you out with that… not sure
but anyways…

What is their favorite sports team, and who is the big star player of the team?
When my Nephew was born, I knew his parents were big Yankee fans, so I got him an autographed baseball and card by Derrek Jeter that was mounted on a plaque. You can do this for almost any sport. An autographed football, hockey puck, etc.
Something like that will last, and is something they can always look at. Not only that, it’s value increases through the course of time.
Get a picture of the three of them, then have the picture made into a jigsaw puzzle. Black and white looks the best. After they put the puzzle together they can hang it up.
Another idea would be to get the baby a personalized book. You could get a story (ex. 3 little pigs on a farm) and then the baby’s name would be in the book so he/she would have their very own book.

For a keep-sate, how about a baby blanket with the child name, birthday, how long and how much the weight

My favorite gift was a personalized baby towel. It has my sons initials on the hood part. I love it!! I also got a Boyd bear with my sons full name on it. That was great too! So I think anything along that line…stuffed animal, towel, plate, etc.
Savings bonds are a great gift. My girls are just now realizing that. They have had them for 20+ years and can now be cashed in.
One of those little silver boxes to keep lost teeth for the tooth fairy (often found with a fairy on the lid!). Every child only ever has one. Its a keepsake for life, but also something that actually gets used for a few years instead of just put away in a drawer.

Well being that they have everything they need and won’t be running out anytime soon. The best thing to give them is something that comes from the heart. Gifts don’t always have to be Materialized or anything. So you could maybe make appointments for the monthly baby pictures paid in advanced or you could buy the baby a star, it won’t mean much to him/her now but when they grow up and start to learn about stars and find out they have one, that would then mean a lot to him/her.
one of the nicest things i got when my daughter was born was a star in her name. it was so thoughtful
or you can get a bibs with the baby’s picture on (which I’m sure would be kept for baby, rather than used)
